The release of a brand new studio album will herald the return The Pineapple Thief to Europe in autumn of 2020. Following on from the success of the “Dissolution” live shows in Europe and North America, this will be a major tour comprising over 40 shows in 18 countries. After the release of their critically acclaimed twelfth studio album “Dissolution” in the summer 2018, The Pineapple Thief have toured extensively, taking their dynamic, progressive post-rock sounds and addictive melancholic melodies to venues throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico, and The United States. The Dissolution live experience was captured in the band’s third live album “Hold Our Fire” which was released in November 2019. “We ended 2019 with our first tour of North America, which marked the end of the ‘Dissolution’ epoch for us” said vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Bruce Soord, “Now we are all focussed on 2020, which is going to be a massive year for The Pineapple Thief. We are currently holed up in the studio putting the finishing touches to the new record. This album, the third since Gavin (Harrison) joined us on the drums, is coming together incredibly well. The 4 of us have been working on this for well over a year and it’s going to be a great feeling to finally take it out on the road.”
